Elk, Kansas

Elk is a ghost town in Diamond Creek Township, Chase County, Kansas, United States.[1] Founded in the 19th century,[2] it remained into the 1920s.[3] The community is no longer in existence.[4]

It lay along Middle Creek above Elmdale, very close to Chase County's border with Marion County.[5] The settlement had a general store, and a post office until 1923, when it was replaced by rural free delivery.[6]
